About Me

Although I have always had a love of books, I kind of fell into the library profession. In 1997, I began working at a community library. It was a vibrant and interesting environment in which to work. I loved working with the eclectic combination of patrons - this was a combined public & high school library.

Like most people who have found their true calling, I had a wonderful mentor who encouraged me along the way. Her support saw me through getting my Masters Degree in Library & Information Science from Syracuse University while carrying on a full-time job and starting a family. For a few years, my life was...have a baby, take a couple of classes...have another baby, take another couple of classes. Did I mention I also have an extremely supportive husband?

I now find myself settling into my third year as school librarian at Charlotte Central School. I feel fortunate to work in a community that truly supports their children. I get out of bed each day looking forward to the things I have yet to learn from my students.

Shelfari
